Beaumont, AB – Colby Perrin scored his third goal of the season on the powerplay with 4:51 remaining in the second period and Spencer Paplawski scored two goals and added an assist as the Beaumont Chiefs extended their winning streak to five games with a 4-3 conquest over the Morinville Jets at K Nichol Arena on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Beaumont Chiefs was Grayson Vekved with a single tally. Avery Fithen and Ryan Gramlich each added two assists. Goaltender Noah Bassil turned aside 37 shots for the Beaumont Chiefs in the win.

Cashing in for the Morinville Jets was Graeme Hampton with two goals and Ethan Dechamplain with a single marker. Goaltender James Hunt made 35 saves in the loss for the Morinville Jets.

With the win, the Beaumont Chiefs improve to 14-3-0-0 while the Morinville Jets fall to 9-5-0-0.
