Dodds strikes twice, Edmonton Royals route Fort Sask Hawks

Fort Saskatchewan, AB – Craig Dodds scored two goals to guide the Edmonton Royals to a 6-2 throttling over the Fort Sask Hawks at Jubilee Arena on Friday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Edmonton Royals was Dakota Mercredi and Josh Dufresne, Sean Ritchie and Daniel Martin contributing with a goal each. Mercredi added two assists. Goaltender Jacob Spinks turned aside -2 shots for the Edmonton Royals in the win.

Cashing in for the Fort Sask Hawks was Bailey Potter and Mike McPhee each adding single tallies. Goaltender Darren Douglas made -6 saves in the loss for the Fort Sask Hawks.

With the win, the Edmonton Royals improve to 2-1-0-0 while the Fort Sask Hawks fall to 0-3-0-0.
