Fort Sask Hawks top Wetaskiwin Icemen
Fort Saskatchewan, AB – Jordan Polanski scored his third goal of the season with 5:13 remaining in the third period and Dan McPherson scored a goal and added three assists to spark the Fort Sask Hawks to a 5-4 win over the Wetaskiwin Icemen at Jubilee Arena on Wednesday.
Also scoring for the Fort Sask Hawks was Cody Pewar, Jon Prins, Bailey Potter each adding single goals. McPherson added three assists and Rob McGuigan added two assists. Goaltender Mason Fedun turned aside -1 shots for the Fort Sask Hawks in the victory.
Lighting the lamp for the Wetaskiwin Icemen was Justin Wood with two goals and Michael MacDonald and Travis Gano each adding a goal. Goaltender Marcus Johnson made -5 saves in the loss for the Wetaskiwin Icemen.
With the victory, the Fort Sask Hawks improve to 31-4-0-3 while the Wetaskiwin Icemen fall to 3-34-0-1.
