Young tallies four, Leduc Co-op Riggers steamroll Edmonton Royals
Leduc, AB – Robert Young scored four goals and added two assists to help secure the Leduc Co-op Riggers a victory in an 8-2 trouncing over the Edmonton Royals at LRC - Aspen Arena on Friday.
Adding markers for the Leduc Co-op Riggers was Ethan Springer and Stephen Martin, Seth Plitt and Joshua Brandabura with a goal each. Hunter Komishke added four assists, Alex Mercer added three assists, Young and Jack Moore each added two assists. Goaltender Matthew Pieschke turned aside 37 shots for the Leduc Co-op Riggers in the victory.
The victory extinguished the Leduc Co-op Riggers' three-game losing streak.
Providing the offence for the Edmonton Royals was Justin Zalloni and Billy Hicks each contributing with single markers. Goaltender Dylan Kushneryk made 54 saves in the loss for the Edmonton Royals.
With the victory, the Leduc Co-op Riggers improve to 1-3-0-0 while the Edmonton Royals fall to 1-4-0-0.
