Holowaychuk nets pair, Strathcona Bruins get past Edmonton Royals
Edmonton, AB – Adam Holowaychuk scored two goals including his fifth goal of the season with 0:27 remaining in the third period and to fuel the Strathcona Bruins to a 4-3 triumph over the Edmonton Royals at Confederation Arena on Wednesday.
Capping off the scoring for the Strathcona Bruins was Matthew Piasetsky and Logan Dawe contributing with a goal each. Goaltender Cooper Kennedy turned aside 48 shots for the Strathcona Bruins in the win.
The win snapped the Strathcona Bruins' four-game losing skid.
Sniping for the Edmonton Royals was Marcus McEachern with two goals and Luke Woodrow with a single tally. Jonathan Milligan added two assists. Goaltender Jake Manners made 35 saves in the loss for the Edmonton Royals.
