Edmonton, AB – Adam Holowaychuk scored two goals including his fifth goal of the season with 0:27 remaining in the third period and to fuel the Strathcona Bruins to a 4-3 triumph over the Edmonton Royals at Confederation Arena on Wednesday.

Capping off the scoring for the Strathcona Bruins was Matthew Piasetsky and Logan Dawe contributing with a goal each. Goaltender Cooper Kennedy turned aside 48 shots for the Strathcona Bruins in the win.

The win snapped the Strathcona Bruins' four-game losing skid.

Sniping for the Edmonton Royals was Marcus McEachern with two goals and Luke Woodrow with a single tally. Jonathan Milligan added two assists. Goaltender Jake Manners made 35 saves in the loss for the Edmonton Royals.

Holowaychuk deposited his fifth of the season into an empty net with 0:27 left in the third period to seal the win for the Strathcona Bruins.

With the win, the Strathcona Bruins improve to 3-5-0-0 while the Edmonton Royals fall to 3-6-0-0.
