Spruce Grove, AB – shootout z - winner scored with 0:00 remaining in overtime and Tyler McCalpin scored two goals and added three assists as the Spruce Grove Regals edged the Morinville Jets 7-6 at Spruce Grove Agrena on Sunday.

Capping off the scoring for the Spruce Grove Regals was Brendan McCalpin with two goals and Matt Herder, Dillon McGinnis each adding single tallies. McCalpin and Tyler Herder each added three assists. Goaltender Brad Miller turned aside 0 shots for the Spruce Grove Regals in the win.

Cashing in for the Morinville Jets was Dalen Paul with two goals and Josh Lafleche, Aaron Baumgartner, Tyler Nault and Ryan Hauptman contributing with a goal each. Paul and Lafleche each added two assists. Goaltender Mike Saunders made -3 saves in the loss for the Morinville Jets.

With the win, the Spruce Grove Regals improve to 15-8-0-2 while the Morinville Jets fall to 12-11-0-5.
