Morinville, AB – Ryan Denton scored two goals and added an assist to help the Morinville Jets to a 7-4 win over the Stony Plain Flyers at Morinville AAA Arena on Saturday.

Also scoring for the Morinville Jets was Connor Tuppala and Jacob Pink, Jaron Coles, Lee Gadoury and Dylan Mcfatridge with a goal each. Tuppala and Zach Mcrae each added two assists. Goaltender Colton Kucher turned aside 21 shots for the Morinville Jets in the win.

Lighting the lamp for the Stony Plain Flyers was Brayden Wujcik, Rhett Dempsey, Nate Lakusta and Brennan Franks each adding a goal. Owen Churko and Kris Potter each added two assists. Goaltender Noah Wiens made six saves in the loss for the Stony Plain Flyers.

With the win, the Morinville Jets improve to 1-0-0-0 while the Stony Plain Flyers fall to 0-1-0-0.
