St. Albert Merchants guide past Stony Plain Flyers
St. Albert, AB – Nicolas Addessi scored a goal including his ninth goal of the season with 2:24 remaining in the third period and and added an assist to help fuel the St. Albert Merchants to a 3-2 win over the Stony Plain Flyers at St. Albert - Akinsdale Arena on Sunday.
Rounding out the scoring for the St. Albert Merchants was Caine Smith, Chris Clark with a goal each. Goaltender Curtis Ronaldson turned aside -2 shots for the St. Albert Merchants in the win.
The victory extinguished the St. Albert Merchants' seven-game losing streak.
Striking for the Stony Plain Flyers was Julian Topham and Scott Dunstall - AP chipping in with a goal each. Steven Barazzuol added two assists. Goaltender Clayton Wilburn made -3 saves in the loss for the Stony Plain Flyers.
With the win, the St. Albert Merchants improve to 8-18-0-2 while the Stony Plain Flyers fall to 11-15-0-1.
