Sherwood Park, AB – Aaron Tiessen scored two goals and added two assists to guide the Sherwood Park Knights to a 6-3 conquest over the St. Albert Merchants at Randy Rosen Arena on Tuesday.

Rounding out the scoring for the Sherwood Park Knights was Darryn Zaharichuk and Nick Harder, Dustin Cochrane and Mitchell Tompkins each adding single tallies. Tiessen added two assists. Goaltender Taro Locskai turned aside 41 shots for the Sherwood Park Knights in the win.

Cashing in for the St. Albert Merchants was Matt Havens, Cam Mazur and Krys Kraychy chipping in with a goal each. Goaltender Ty Clelland made 35 saves in the loss for the St. Albert Merchants.

The loss snuffed out the St. Albert Merchants' three-game winning streak.

With the win, the Sherwood Park Knights improve to 11-7-0-1 while the St. Albert Merchants fall to 10-7-0-2.
