Veenstra scores two, Fort Sask Hawks double up Beverly Warriors
Edmonton, AB – Nick Veenstra scored two goals to help fuel the Fort Sask Hawks to a 6-3 win over the Beverly Warriors at Londonderry on Friday.
Rounding out the scoring for the Fort Sask Hawks was Mac Flasha and Joey Morin, Jordan Baillie and Brandon Dubuc chipping in with a goal each. Alex Nisbet added three assists and Josh Hunter added two assists. Goaltender Tyler Berger turned aside 35 shots for the Fort Sask Hawks in the win.
Striking for the Beverly Warriors was Troy Tymchuk with two goals and Tanner Laderoute(AP) with a single tally. Goaltender Keaton Bakstad made 36 saves in the loss for the Beverly Warriors.
With the win, the Fort Sask Hawks improve to 23-8-0-1 while the Beverly Warriors fall to 16-17-0-0.
