Wetaskiwin, AB – Mitch McNamara scored with 3:12 remaining in overtime and Dan Rombough scored a goal and added an assist as the St. Albert Merchants beat the Wetaskiwin Icemen 3-2 at Wetaskiwin Arena on Sunday.

Rounding out the scoring for the St. Albert Merchants was Stefan Meunier with a single marker. Casey Reid added two assists. Goaltender Max Cathcart turned aside 46 shots for the St. Albert Merchants in the win.

Cashing in for the Wetaskiwin Icemen was Greg Wiwcharuk and Dylan McKay each adding single tallies. Goaltender Chris Sharkey made 38 saves in the loss for the Wetaskiwin Icemen.

With the win, the St. Albert Merchants improve to 34-3-0-1 while the Wetaskiwin Icemen fall to 15-16-0-7.
