Wetaskiwin, AB – A Z - Shootout winner scored with 0:00 remaining in overtime and DJ Bennefield scored a goal and added an assist as the Wetaskiwin Icemen vanquished the Spruce Grove Regals 6-5 at Wetaskiwin Arena on Friday.

Completing the scoring for for the Wetaskiwin Icemen was Jordan Howe, Suede Omeasoo, Dawson Kress, Kevin Liner chipping in with singles. Goaltender Chris Sharkey turned aside -5 shots for the Wetaskiwin Icemen in the victory.

Finding the back of the net for the Spruce Grove Regals was Aidan Stumbur with two goals and Ryan Benn, Zack Mills and Peyton Kathol chipping in with a goal each. Goaltender Carlen Lyle made -6 saves in the loss for the Spruce Grove Regals.

With the victory, the Wetaskiwin Icemen improve to 11-8-0-0 while the Spruce Grove Regals fall to 17-2-0-1.
