Leduc Co-op Riggers conquer Strathcona Bruins
Sherwood Park, AB – Brady Huber scored a goal and added an assist as the Leduc Co-op Riggers extended their winning streak to three games with a 7-5 win over the Strathcona Bruins at Strathcona Olympiette Centre on Sunday.
Also scoring for the Leduc Co-op Riggers was Ethan Springer, Elias Sveinsson, Colby Perrin, Riley Knaus, Alex Mercer, Brian Lansink each adding a goal. Emileo Rizzuto added two assists. Goaltender Matthew Pieschke turned aside 18 shots for the Leduc Co-op Riggers in the win.
Striking for the Strathcona Bruins was Adam Holowaychuk with two goals and Logan Dawe, Jake Ball and Riley Spence with a goal each. Goaltender Blake Dehr made 39 saves in the loss for the Strathcona Bruins.
Lansink deposited his third of the season into an empty net with 0:07 left in the third period to seal the win for the Leduc Co-op Riggers.
With the win, the Leduc Co-op Riggers improve to 11-24-0-3 while the Strathcona Bruins fall to 15-20-0-3.
